Theft from Foremost property On Dec. 3, 2011, Bow Island/Foremost RCMP responded to a call regarding a property theft in Foremost. It is believed that during the previous overnight hours, thieves stole a stack of old car and truck batteries. Each battery is worth $3-$10 when turned in for a refund. As a result, RCMP is asking local businesses that accept old batteries to be watchful for persons wanting to deposit a large number of batteries. Anybody with information regarding this theft is asked to contact the Bow Island detachment at 403-545-2827 or Crimestoppers at 1-888-222-TIPS. Theft of grain On Dec. 12, 2011, Bow Island/Foremost RCMP responded to a call regarding a theft from a rural property in the area. It is believed that sometime between Nov. 13 and Nov. 20, an undisclosed amount of Spring wheat was stolen from the farmer’s bins. Due to the nature of the crime, RCMP believe several people were involved with the theft.
