| This year's Farmer of the Year award was presented to Rob Van Roessel who was chosen to receive the honour by a group of his peers headed up by committee chair and county councilor, Otto Gross. Van Roessel is an irrigation farmer with land near Bow Island, growing primarily potatoes and grain but who also has a cow/calf operation.
